We're on a mission to make LSAT prep more affordable and efficient with AI-machine learning. That's why we emphasize our data science capabilities instead of our co-founders' LSAT scores.
Who should use AdeptLR?
AdeptLR is designed for students looking for a simple, effective, and efficient way to drill and review LSAT Logical Reasoning questions. Because AdeptLR does not provide any learning materials (e.g., video courses or explanations of LR questions), we recommend using AdeptLR with other learning materials such as the Powerscore LR Bible. Free explanations to most (if not all) LSAT questions can be found at Manhattan Prep Forums or LSAT Hacks.
How is the AdeptLR's algorithm different from other algorithms?
Not all algorithms are created equal (or created by a Ph.D data scientist). Designed by our Ph.D data scientist, our algorithm combines the power of machine learning with psychometric principles to provide you with targeted questions that continuously adapt to your growing abilities. Our algorithm determines the difficulty of each question based on your unique testing profile, since difficulty is subjective to the student—and not merely based on how hard an instructor or prep course says a question is.
In other “adaptive” algorithms, the difficulty of each question is determined in advance by instructors with 99th-percentile LSAT scores. Because the difficulty of each question is determined in advance by someone other than the user, these other algorithms cannot account for each user’s unique learning needs.
It is our firm belief that difficulty is subjective—a question that is easy to some may be very challenging for others.
Does AdeptLR teach how users should approach each LR category?
AdeptLR is not designed to teach you the content of logical reasoning questions. If you’re new to the LSAT, please take a month or two to familiarize yourself with the different LR categories and develop an approach to LR that works for you before using AdeptLR.
Does AdeptLR provide explanations for each LR question?
We do not. However, there are many LSAT prep companies that release explanations for free on their website. For example, Manhattan Prep provides free written explanations to all the PTs here, and LSAT Hacks provides free written explanations for PT 29-38 and 60-81 here.
Plans & Payments
What is an LSAT Prep Plus subscription (LawHub) and how do I know if I have one?
LSAC requires all users to have an LSAT Prep Plus subscription to access official LSAT questions, whether you are accessing the LSAT questions via LawHub (LSAC's website hosting LSAT questions) or a third party (like us). If you have previously purchased an online LSAT prep course from another vendor, you most likely have an LSAT Prep Plus subscription. Please sign into your LawHub account to check whether you have a Prep Plus subscription. If not, please purchase a Prep Plus subscription before signing up for AdeptLR.
Why is there a $20 One-time LSAC Fee?
We know that everyone hates one-time "setup" fees. However, LSAC charges us a $30 coaching fee for every student that signs up for AdeptLR. So to keep our subscription price at the lowest possible rate, we have to offset this coaching fee with this $20 one-time fee. We pay this entire fee to LSAC.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?
If you upgrade your plan before your renewal date, we will immediately upgrade your plan, and the additional cost will be prorated. If you downgrade before your renewal date, you will keep your current plan until your renewal date; then, we will automatically downgrade your plan and charge the lower rate.
What is a "fully completed" PrepTest on LawHub and why isn't my LawHub LR data showing up after importing?"
LawHub only sends data from "fully completed" PrepTests. For example, if you completed sections 1 and 2 of PrepTest 75 but have not completed sections 3 and 4, you would not be able to import the LR data from PrepTest 75 until sections 3 and 4 are completed. You can complete a section on LawHub simply by clicking the "Complete Section" button on the top right even if you leave every answer choice in that section blank.
Can I use AdeptLR to review and analyze LR questions that I complete on my LawHub account (with an active LSAT Prep Plus subscription)?
Yes! Any LR questions completed in your LawHub account that has an active LSAT Prep Plus subscription can be imported to our database. You can use AdeptLR to review and analyze LR questions completed on LawHub. There is one exception—any LR questions taken on LawHub via a "deep link" (a special link provided by another LSAT vendor) will not transfer to AdeptLR.
